On Human Nature began as an open outlet. I was not necessarily sharing very personal information, but things regarding my outlook on life as a black woman that has lived in several different environments. It’s simply my take on life. I started making clothing because of my love for fashion and helping people. For a while, I thought that I would never get to pursue fashion. But, after much self reflection, I decided that I owed it to myself to pursue what I love and the only person putting limits on what I could do was me. This is where the helping people part of this project comes in. I will give 25% of the profit of each sale to a different charity each month. As I grow as a person, so will this brand. Join me on my journey.
My name is DeSean Scott and I own the brand Deep End. I've always been into clothes, but growing up I was not always able to get the clothes I wanted. I began making clothes in high school. I used to listen to OFWG, but I did not have a job yet to buy their merch and my parents weren't going for it haha. So, I began buying iron-ons and sweatshirts from Walmart. That need to be innovative helped me gain the confidence to start my brand. Deep End was something I knew I wanted to make but didn't have a name for it. One day someone very close to me told me they thought about ending their life, I didn't know how to react because I never knew they felt this way. That's where the name Deep End was born, the slogan is "Don't go into the DEEP END", because no matter what someone is going through there is a light at the end so we cannot give up. People have differnt deep end problems, such as depression, stagnation, unhappy with they life, a life of bad karma, etc. deep end is universal. I want to show people through my art that there is always a way, even when they think there isn't.
